Gratitude GiveawayNovember 25, 2010

One of my favorite Thanksgiving pastimes is to reflect on what has brought me joy the prior year. More often than not, these things end up being much smaller than one would expect. What comes to mind is not the new car or the fancy jewelry, but a beautiful flower growing in the concrete, or the unexpected hug from a child you love. I decided to compile a visual list this year that reminded me of these magical little moments to share.

A favorite mug in my favorite color. I barely ever drink from it, but when I do, it makes me happy.

I love rainy days and how they give me an excuse to curl up in a blanket, even if it's only for 5 minutes.

Fruits and vegetables in unexpected colors. I get a little thrill out of knowing my body is being nourished with all the vitamins and nutrients hidden in these hues.

Curling up on the couch and reflecting on my goals early in the morning always assures a great day. Ice cold juice or water wakes me up.

A gorgeous sunflower smiling at me in a summer market.

Suspension bridges hold a very supreme power to me. I love walking over them, or just staring at them from afar. I see it as a amazing testament to the potential of the human mind. Such incredible engineering.

I love fans. When you need one, you need one. I'm so grateful for a cool breeze when it's hot.

A white, fluffy robe to cuddle into on those days when a cool breeze is not so welcome.

A stack of my favorite journals to write in and skim through from years ago always help me put my current aspirations into perspective.

Yogatoes. I love Yogatoes. They are like giant jelly toes separators that help realign your toes if you wear heels all day. Magical little instruments.

Nature's abundance in unexpected places always makes me smile.

One of the things I am most grateful for this year could not be captured in an image. I really appreciate you as a reader of Miss Fitbliss. I truly hope that this site makes your days a little brighter and your healthy lifestyle endeavors clearer every day. To show my gratitude, I’ll be giving away 1 pair of YogaToes next week to 1 lucky recipient. This is an international drawing. Just leave a comment (or several) letting me know all that you are grateful for this Thanksgiving.
